What we treat

Your body is telling you something. Let's listen.

Pain shows up differently for everyone. We treat a wide range of orthopaedic concerns — and if yours isn’t on the list, reach out. Chances are we can help.

Neck & upper back

That constant tension in your neck and shoulders. The stiffness that makes it hard to turn your head when you’re reversing the car. Posture-related pain that builds quietly until it’s hard to ignore. We help you understand what’s driving it and actually do something about it.

Lower back, SI joint & hip

One of the most common — and most misunderstood — sources of pain we see. Whether it’s sciatica shooting down your leg, an ache that makes sitting unbearable, or a hip that never quite felt right after pregnancy, you deserve more than being handed a sheet of generic stretches.

Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, tendinitis, impingement — shoulder issues have a way of taking over your whole day. Reaching for something on a shelf, sleeping on your side, lifting your child. We help you get your arm back.

Knee

Ligament strains, meniscus tears, runner’s knee, patellofemoral pain — knees are complex and the “just rest it” advice only goes so far. We assess the whole picture and build a plan that helps you run, climb stairs, and move without bracing for it.

Foot & ankle

Plantar fasciitis that makes your first steps in the morning feel like walking on glass. Ankle sprains that keep rolling. Shin splints. Arch pain. These are the kinds of things that quietly chip away at your activity levels — until they don’t feel quiet anymore.

Elbow, wrist & hand

Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. Whether you got here through repetitive work, sport, or a combination of both — grip strength, reach, and daily function can all be restored with the right care.

Post-surgery & injury

Surgery is a beginning, not an end. The weeks and months that follow are where your recovery actually happens — and having a skilled physiotherapist in your corner makes a real difference. We guide you through a safe, evidence-informed return to full strength.

Osteoarthritis

Arthritis does not have to mean giving things up. The research is clear: movement, done right, is one of the most powerful tools for managing OA. We help you stay strong, mobile, and confident in the joints you’ve got — for as long as possible.

What happens in my first appointment?

Your first session is a full hour — just you and your physiotherapist, in a private one-on-one room. We start by talking through your history: how the pain started, what makes it better or worse, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to get back to. Then we do a hands-on assessment — looking at how you move, where things are restricted or painful, and what’s actually going on beneath the surface. By the end, you’ll have a treatment plan that makes sense, hands-on care to start you off, and a few clear things to work on at home. Most people leave feeling more hopeful than when they walked in.

No referral is needed to book with us. You can contact us directly and get started right away. That said, some insurance plans require a physician referral for reimbursement — if that’s the case for you, we can help you navigate it. Just ask.

Orthopaedic physiotherapy falls under physiotherapy benefits with most extended health insurance plans. Coverage amounts and conditions vary, so we recommend checking your policy before your first visit. We provide detailed receipts for reimbursement and can assist with direct billing where available.

That depends on what you’re dealing with, how long it’s been going on, and how your body responds. After your first session, your physiotherapist will give you an honest, realistic sense of what to expect — including frequency and approximate duration. We always factor in what’s genuinely manageable for your schedule and finances. There’s no pressure and no packages to buy.

Comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing — athletic wear or anything that lets us access the area we’re working on. You don’t need to bring anything special. If you’re being seen for a lower back or hip issue, loose pants or shorts are helpful. For shoulder or upper body concerns, a tank top or loose top works well.

Yes. If you’re not sure whether physiotherapy is right for what you’re experiencing, or you’d like to meet your practitioner before committing to a full appointment, we offer a complimentary 15-minute discovery session. It’s a no-pressure conversation — ask your questions, get a sense of the space and the person, and decide when you’re ready.
