Support Group Leader - Infertility & Pregnancy Loss
Fiona MacDonald
Lived Experience, Not a TitleSecondary infertility mama. 5 years of trying. 2 kiddos earth side and 5 babies in her heart. Fiona leads from within — not from above.
The time spent trying to conceive can be extremely lonely and isolating. Fiona built this group because she lived that loneliness — and found that the only thing that helped was finding a community of others who truly understood.
Led by someone who has lived it.
Fiona navigated 5 years of infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss — carrying the full weight of hope, grief, uncertainty, and the relentless emotional labour of trying to expand a family.
During that time, she discovered something that changed everything: a community of other women navigating the same experience through social media. Together they supported and lifted each other up — especially on the dark days when it felt like too much to bear.
That community became the foundation of her life — and the inspiration for this group at Femade. She knows first-hand that the right support, at the right time, from people who truly get it, can make all the difference between drowning and finding a way through.
The grief of pregnancy loss
The loneliness of infertility
The isolation of TTC — the months that stretch into years, the questions you can’t answer, the celebrations that sting — is held and understood here.
Secondary infertility specifically
The whole journey — not just the outcome
The waiting, the treatments, the decisions, the identity shifts, the relationship strain, the moments of joy and devastation that exist in the same breath.
